Diploma Course

The flagship of the Press Institute's training program is the six-month Diploma Course in Journalism.
The Diploma Course aims to provide basic journalistic knowledge for students with an undergraduate bachelor degree, and an interest in journalism. The Danish School of Journalism made a great contribution in 1997, to contribute to the development of the curriculum for the Diploma Course and establishing training resources at the Press Institute.
Since this time the Diploma Course has grown, with an average of 30 enthusiastic students annually. The Press Institute is proud to boast that 80% of students graduating are offered jobs at the best print and broadcast media outlets in Ulaanbaatar and throughout Mongolia.
Students of this program participate in a month-long internship at media organizations across the country. This is an effective way for students to get advanced practical exposure in the industry. This is well recognized throughout the media industry.
