The Research department at the Press Institute conducts surveys on the state of Mongolian media, systematical audience surveys, collects survey materials conducted on media in Mongolia and abroad, and organises activities to support exchange of information between media researchers, journalists and media managers.
In addition, the department provides information services for journalists, students and journalism trainers through its library (including press clipping services and print media archive) and press conferences organised for journalists on demand of institutions and individuals, but also on its own initiative.
